Kazakhstan B5 Visa Guide: Crew Member Requirements
The Kazakhstan B5 visa is a specialised visa for certain aircraft, train, sea and river vessel crew members. It is not a tourist visa, an ordinary business visa, or an investor visa.
Who the B5 visa is for
Kazakhstan government guidance identifies B5 recipients as people who are:
- members of crews of regular or charter aircraft who do not hold the relevant ICAO identification;
- members of train crews; or
- members of sea or river vessel crews.
B5 validity and permitted stay
| Type | Visa validity | Permitted stay |
|---|---|---|
| Single entry | Up to 90 days | No more than 30 days |
| Multiple entry | Up to 1 year | No more than 30 days on each entry |
What B5 is not
If your purpose is tourism, employment, entrepreneurship, investment, study or another activity, B5 may not be the correct category. Kazakhstan has separate visa categories for those purposes.
Before applying
Visa documentation can depend on your role, transport operation and where you apply. Use the Kazakhstan embassy or consular authority responsible for your place of residence to confirm the current application form, supporting documents, fees and submission procedure.
